Afire Love: An Original Sonnet

His love is bright, as deadly as the sun.

I try to contain it, but it weighs tons.

So deep, so high, so wide his love must be.

Afire for love, burning so tragically.

Don’t get to close, for the flames are ablaze.

Try not to fall for its smoldering gaze.

This love’s for his person, his spark, his zing.

A love far greater than a summer fling.

Treat this love with kindness and tender care.

Do not keep it hidden, but freely share.

Shout to the world the story of this love.

It is a love that most only dream of.

Burning and shining, alive is this flame

The world will forever speak of its fame.
